The 7869-000-05 Dual Heavy Duty Acoustic Release Frame has been designed as optional extra for Sonardyne’s Type 8320 RT 6-3000 and Type 8321 RT 6-6000 acoustic release transponders.
The release frame increases the Safe working load (SWL) of a pair of standard RT 6-3000/6000 to 15,000 kg (at 4:1 safety factor) with a breaking load of 60,000 kg. The system also offers dual redundancy in releasing the load; either of the release transponders fitted to the frame can be commanded to release the load.
