Plans for New Campus and Building for Headquarters

Norwegian Offshore Rental (NOR) is currently in the process of receiving bids for a new building and campus on a 10-acre plot in Aksdal Business Park. The company, which leases equipment primarily to the offshore industry, has been located in the Stoltenberg building on Risøy in Haugesund, Norway for the past 9 years.

“We need more space, and see Aksdal as a very good place to expand. The new location is also strategically positioned between Stavanger and Bergen, which allows us to better serve the coast,” says Managing Director Olafur Gislason.

Norwegian Offshore Rental was started in 2011, and is owned by Jan Sigurd Østebøvik and his father Geir Egil. The company is also recently established in Aberdeen in the same building as Imenco.

NOR’s rental pool has everything from underwater cameras and lifting equipment to floating elements and various equipment for remote-controlled underwater vehicles (ROV). Their market is primarily the North Sea, and they also deliver to the whole world. The company has 8 employees in Norway and 1 employee in the subsidiary Norwegian Offshore Rental Ltd in Aberdeen.

NOR is in negotiations with turnkey contractors and envisions construction starting at the end of the first quarter of 2021 with occupancy at the turn of the year 2021-2022.
