Industri and Technology-students Emilie and Isac are getting valuable work experience at NOR Offshore Rental

– We really get to test ourselves and learn a lot of new things, say the local students, who has a three-week internship at NOR, to get working experience as part of their education.

Emilie Grindhaug and Isac Urrang are both over midway in the last year of the Industry and Technology line (INT) at Haugaland Secondary School. After the summer they start as apprentices.

– We must apply for an apprenticeship now. Of course, NOR Offshore Rental would have been a tempting and very nice place to be an apprentice, the two say.

Becoming a little wiser about the future

Both Isac and Emilie are torn between becoming a production technician or an industrial mechanic. Though, the experience at NOR has really opened their eyes to the industrial mechanic profession.

– It seems very fun and exciting to work as an industrial mechanic. Here at NOR we get to do a lot more practical tasks and, in this way, we also learn a lot more about the discipline, say the students.

Emilie and Isac tell that their time at NOR has really given them a taste for working life. The two youths are looking forward to both becoming apprentices, and later entering working life.

– This is much nicer than sitting at school, they smile.
