Workshop Technician (UK)

Due to continued expansion, NOR UK Ltd are looking for an experienced ROV Survey equipment Technician or Hydraulic Tooling Technician. Previous Experience in Hydraulics and Electrical ROV equipment is required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in electrical/hydraulic survey equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge and aptitude on various electrical survey equipment including: pinout/wiring diagrams/data protocols using survey sensors, serial 232, 422, 485 protocols, ethernet comms, fibre optic, and hydraulic schematics and drawings.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and strong IT & computer skills.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals and software.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment repairs and maintenance in a workshop setting in either electrical or hydraulic tooling.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with our various electrical/hydraulic survey equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and any other equipment to complete repairs.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions.
