Workshop Manager
NOR Ltd is seeking a Workshop Manager to support the company’s rapid growth in Aberdeen. This role involves overseeing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as planning the maintenance and inspection of ROV survey and hydraulic equipment. The successful candidate will lead both the Survey Department and Tooling department and report to the Operations Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Satisfactory completion/repair/test and certification of all work required by workshop personnel in accordance with the work specification (Work Order and approved PO)
- Helping to develop and ensuring that the organisation’s procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out test/maintenance and repair
- Ensuring that any work for external/internal clients are correctly detailed in a work order/contract and that the requirements of the contract/work order are fulfilled in respect of inspection
- Responding to quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which he/she is responsible, which arise from internal/external quality audits
- Responsible for ensuring, through the workforce under his/her control that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the organization
- Implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues at the facility
- The incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer’s recommendations
- Developing a production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work
- Arrange for the availability of appropriate facilities for the planned work, including workshops, offices, and storage as necessary
- Secure availability of tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks
- Ensure that there is an adequate number of qualified personnel to plan, execute, supervise, inspect, and certify the work being carried out
- Ensure that all necessary maintenance data is accessible to individual users
- Report any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous procedures, practice information, or maintenance instructions found in the maintenance data used by personnel to the organization through the occurrence reporting system
