Trainee Engineer (UK)
Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Engineer to join our Aberdeen base. As a Trainee Engineer, you will be an integral part of our technical team, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in the exciting subsea industry. You will work closely with experienced engineers, assisting in the maintenance, testing, and deployment of our rental equipment. The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident “can do” attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player.
Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assisting senior engineers with daily tasks.
- Servicing, testing, and fault finding of Survey & Tooling rental equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of survey project documentation and project reports.
- Able to identify damage and faults in equipment.
- Support the deployment and recovery of equipment in the field.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure equipment readiness and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical projects.
Qualifications:
- This position can either be Entry Level, or for someone who recently graduated, currently pursuing (or willing to do so) a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Strong technical aptitude, eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Flexibility when it comes to working.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline.
- Passionate to develop and progress in an growing company.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Any Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.
