Mechanic (Norway)

We are looking for a Mechanic who take pride in delivering quality in every job. 

 

Do you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and making sure equipment is ready when it matters? 

We are looking for a Mechanic to join our onshore workshop in Aksdal. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing, testing, and ensuring that equipment is ready for operation – every time. 

You will be part of a collaborative and skilled team, working closely with colleagues to solve practical challenges and maintain a high standard of quality in everything we deliver. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Maintain, repair, and prepare equipment for rental and operational use
    • Perform mechanical work, including assembly, disassembly, and modification of subsea and tooling equipment
    • Inspect and test equipment before dispatch and upon return
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure operational readiness
    • Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment for projects
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality deliveries
    • Maintain order and structure in the workshop and storage areas
    • Document completed work to ensure traceability 

 

Qualifications 

  • Trade certificate in a mechanical discipline (or relevant hands-on experience)
    • Experience from workshop, industrial, or offshore-related work is an advantage
    • Practical mindset with strong technical understanding
    • Structured and detail-oriented approach to work
    • Comfortable with a varied and sometimes physically demanding workday
    • Team player with good collaboration skills
    • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
    Able to find practical solutions and solve problems efficiently
    • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
