Group Business Controller (Norway)

We are looking for a Group Business Controller to manage group reporting and support performance across our international operations. 

As Group Business Controller at NOR Group, you will play a key role in developing and strengthening our financial reporting and controlling processes. You will work closely with the CFO and group management, acting as a central point of contact for financial insight, analysis, and performance follow-up across the organization. 

The role requires a strong financial foundation, a structured approach, and the ability to turn data into clear insights and actions that support decision-making. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and improve internal reporting processes, tools, and systems 
  • Collect, review, and consolidate financial data from international entities 
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality group reporting 
  • Act as a business partner to regional management, analysing performance, identifying deviations, and recommending actions 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports 
  • Develop and follow up KPIs and action plans to support performance improvement 
  • Conduct financial analyses (e.g. investments, profitability, pricing, and market trends) 
  • Translate analysis into concrete recommendations and improvement initiatives 
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes 
  • Support the CFO in strategic decision-making 

 

Qualifications 

  • Higher education in finance, economics, or a related field 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international company 
  • Experience with reporting tools and Business Intelligence systems 
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actions 
  • Good business understanding and ability to identify key value drivers 
  • Structured, accurate, and able to execute effectively 
  • Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset 
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across functions and regions 
  • Able to work closely with leaders and challenge in a clear and constructive manner 
  • communication skills in both Norwegian and English
